Brinnae Bent, PhD, is a faculty member in Artificial Intelligence at Duke University, a Responsible AI research scientist, and the founder of Tensor and Trust. She is a leader in bridging the gap between research and industry in machine learning, having led projects and developed algorithms for the largest companies in the world. More importantly, she has built algorithms that have meaningful impacts - from helping people walk to noninvasively monitoring glucose. Previously, Brinnae was Managing Partner of a machine learning consulting firm, where she led the development of algorithms across domains including health/wellness, sports, privacy, interior design, and energy. Her research on digital biomarkers is world-renowned and her work on Responsible AI strives to solve important problems in the application of AI to real-world problems.
Ryan Bolick, MS, is the founder of Quarter Pixel Labs and a partner at Tensor and Trust. Ryan has built B2B SaaS products that shipped to millions of users and has been on the founding teams for two Y-Combinator-backed companies that raised over $13M in venture funding from firms including Google Ventures and Matrix Partners. Ryan has led development of design systems (where his work reached 66% of Fortune 100 firms) and has designed two FDA-cleared medical devices. Ryan holds degrees in Engineering (BS) and Industrial Design (MS) from NC State, blending technical expertise with design thinking and product strategy.
